Finalise the Bambara Purchases on the Central Coast

Dear Mr Stokes,

Please continue to work with the OEH to speed up the process of purchasing the remaining lots of land on Bambara Rd at Kariong. This has gone on too long. Our community was promised at the last election that the government would protect Bambara, but there have been too many delays. The landowners may be unco-operative, but you have the power to move to compulsory acquisition.

Please fulfill the wishes of the community

Yours sincerely

The Central Coast Greens

The Greens have supported the community campaign over many years to have the in-holding at Bambara, Kariong purchased and incorporated into the Brisbane Water National Park. Two lots still remain in private hands. Only purchase by the state will protect them, especially if, after the election, changes to biodiversity and vegetation protection laws are forced through parliament.
