April SDC

The April States Delegates Council will be held on 23^rd and 24^th April and will be hosted online.

Agenda and proposals have now been posted.

SDC Elections

Nominations are open for Greens NSW positions to be elected at the Greens NSW SDC on 23rd April 2022 online via Zoom. Elections to be conducted in one or more stages via OpaVote.

There are a number of vacancies on key committees which need to be filled.

Close of nominations: Friday 15th April 2022 – indicate your intention to nominate

Deadline for submission of completed nomination forms: Thursday 21st April 2022

You must notify the returning officer of your intention to nominate, but you do not need to have your nomination form completed. Nominations must be received by the ROs by the end of Friday (midnight). No late nominations accepted.

• P1 – Limit Staffers from Contesting Preselections
• P2 – Free Public Transport
• P3 – Issues Campaigner and Group Liaison Officer
• P4 – Democratic Leadership Greens NSW
• P5 – Democratic Leadership AG
• P6 – Consumer Rights Policy Amendment
• UP1 – Women’s Safety and Balance of Power Negotiations
• UP2 – Amend Candidate Agreement to Avoid Loss of Funding
• UP3 – Civi Access

• W1 – Employing a Permanent Campaigner
• W2 – Publications
• W3 – Admin Budget 22/23
• W4 – Transport
• W5 – Preselection Rules
• W6 – Balance of Power Discussion
• MP Plenary Workshop and Reports

Message Stick

Following on from the Message Stick discussion at the August SDC, delegates expressed an interest in an ongoing process of responding to the First Nations Network’s message. An important step in this process will be for groups to reflect collectively and return to the April SDC with reports back on their local discussions. Groups are asked to particularly focus on the issue of White Privilege and how we can cede it.
